    Okay. Sorry for answering so late! I hope you still get this…

    1. I love space. A lot. I really wish I knew more about it than I do now.
    2. I don’t have a preference between Star Trek and Star Wars. I enjoy them equally and in their own way. :)
    3. I’m very musically inclined. I love it a lot, but I only really ever sing/play guitar when I’m with my family (particularly my cousins).
    4. I loved horses when I was little. Not to say that I don’t love them now, it’s just not as much of an obsession now. Plus I have school to waste a lot of my time.
    5. I love solitude. Usually for clear thinking purposes, but also because the hustle-bustle-and-buzz can become a bit of a headache sometimes.
    6. I’ve recently become a tea-lover. I used to “hate it” because I thought it tasted horrible and I was always being forced to have it when I was sick. Now, I don’t mind it and actually carry some Earl Grey packets with me on a daily basis.
    7. I love to draw. I actually am great at thinking of things, but the putting it on paper is a time challenge for me. I’m either too busy or too lazy, still, I pump things out occasionally.
    8. I love to laugh. People find it strange that I always laugh so loud and heartily, but it’s because it’s genuine. :)
    9. I love having an egg-salad sandwhich with cranberry juice in my kitchen. My kitchen has a sort of lighting and atmosphere that makes me feel calm, egg-salad just tastes good, and I have to have the cranberry juice in this really tall tupperware cup that we have (it makes me feel fancy).
    10. I strive to be an outgoing person. I try not to be shy or let hesitation stand between me and a (positive) adventure.
    11. *Extra fact because you waited so long* I’ve been told that I give good hugs. I always ask why, some say it’s strong, others say I’m just cuddly, but there never seems to be a consistency in the reason.

    “I have always been fascinated by portraiture. To me a successful portrait has a presence. It has weight. The portrait evokes the emotional presence of the subject as well as the viewer. In my exploration, the defining goal is to create a portrait that becomes an experience to view. By using the familiarity of the face as the template, my process involves hand painting the developer in the darkroom, intentionally revealing specific, desired aspects of the face in the negative. Doing so creates a stark negative space that gives the portrait a lucidity. Instead of creating a realistic, straight from film portrait, I am more interested in exploring how the original image can be brought to the surface in alternative ways. The portraits embody their own unique strangeness. I enable the viewer to process impressions of a face, and of the shape of a head. I am comfortable with the viewer ultimately feeling uncomfortable. My job as an artist is to challenge the viewer. Make the viewer see differently, think differently, and most importantly, feel differently.”
